No. 2 Indiana outlasted No. 5 Michigan State, 4-3, in 11 innings Saturday afternoon to advance to the 2012 Big Ten Baseball Tournament championship at Huntington Park. The Hoosiers eventually lost to heated rival and No. 1 Purdue, 6-5, in the title game. Michael Basil provided the game-winning RBI to lift Indiana past Michigan State in the 11th and Ryan Halstead retired the Spartans in order to pick up the win.

The Michigan State baseball team was eliminated from the Big Ten Tournament after falling to Indiana, 4-3 in 11 innings, Saturday afternoon at Huntington Park. Michael Basil's RBI single in the top of the 11th proved to be the difference as the Hoosiers advanced to the championship round against Purdue.
