Player and Freshman of the Week: Sam Travis, Indiana, 1B - Fr. - Orland Park, Ill. - Providence Catholic

  • Hit .625 (5-for-8) in Indiana?s series win against Iowa, extending his hitting streak to 15 games
  • Slugged 1.375 and reached base at a .727 clip, combining for an OPS of 2.102 over the three-game set
  • Recorded two home runs, recorded seven RBI and scored four runs over the weekend
  • Earns his second straight weekly honor and second of his career

  • Retired the first 19 batters he faced, striking out five while scattering only two hits for the game
  • Became the first Boiler since 2009 to register back-to-back complete game efforts
  • Collects his second straight award and third of the season and his career
