The Spartans, for the third straight year, signed the top prospect in their home state, explosive wide receiver Aaron Burbridge. He is a good bet to play early because of the graduation of B.J. Cunningham and Keith Nichol, as is Monty Madaris, another four-star wide receiver who comes to the Spartans from Cincinnati.

Another four-star prospect from Michigan, athletic linebacker Jamal Lyles, brings versatility to the Spartan defense as he?s equally comfortable rushing the passer as he is dropping into coverage. He?s not alone on defense, as four-star safety Demetrious Cox chose the Spartans over offers from Penn State, Ohio State and others.

Linebacker Riley Bullough, younger brother of current Spartan linebacker Max Bullough, is smart, tough, and can run to the football. Speedy defensive back Mark Meyers, a late addition, further strengthens the MSU defense. Offense was not ignored though, as quarterback Tyler O?Connor, who can escape the pocket and throw on the run, has the look of a future starter in East Lansing. He?ll benefit from having big play running back Nick Tompkins, a Georgia native, in the backfield.
