The family of Joe Paterno has completed the funeral arrangements for the legendary Penn State educator, coach and humanitarian, who passed away Sunday. Two public viewings will be held, as well as a public memorial, "A Memorial For Joe," on the University Park campus.

A public viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 1:00-11:00 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 8:00 a.m.-Noon at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, located near the intersection of Curtin Road and Allen Street on campus. Please see below for important parking information for the public viewings.
There will be a private funeral service Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The funeral procession will begin at approximately 3:00 p.m. The procession will leave the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, turn left onto Curtin Road near the Pattee-Paterno Library and travel Curtin Road past Beaver Stadium. The procession will then turn right onto Porter Road and turn right onto College Avenue, heading west through downtown State College. The burial is private.
On Thursday, Jan. 26, a public memorial service, "A Memorial For Joe" will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Bryce Jordan Center, located at the intersection of Curtin Road and University Drive on campus and a ticket will be required for admission. All tickets are free. Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. Please see below for important ticket ordering and parking information for the public memorial service.
Demand for tickets to "A Memorial For Joe" is expected to be extremely high. A limit of two tickets per person will be available starting Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Fans are encouraged to order tickets online at http://www.GoPSUsports.com/tickets. Those who order tickets online must use the "Print at Home" option. Your "Print at Home" ticket will be required for admission to the Bryce Jordan Center. Ticket confirmation of online orders will be emailed by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. This confirmation will also provide the "Print at Home" instructions.
Interested patrons can also call 1-800-NITTANY at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Successful phone orders can be picked up at the Jordan Ticket Center will call beginning Wednesday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and then again on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will not be available via box office locations. For those unable to attend the Thursday event, the Big Ten Network, BTN.com and BTN2go will provide live coverage. Backpacks and bags larger than 8 ½ x 11 x 11", will not be permitted in the Jordan Center for the memorial service. No photography or video will be permitted at the memorial service, nor will any signs. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.
