Three Big Ten women's basketball teams played Monday. No. 11 Ohio State drilled Charlotte, 88-58, behind Tayler Hill's 25 points. The victory moved the Buckeyes to 11-0 on the season. (AP) Tayler Hill scored 16 of her 25 points in the second half and No. 11 Ohio State beat Charlotte 88-58 on Monday. Samantha Prahalis had 19 points and reserve forward Darryce Moore finished with 10 for the Buckeyes (11-0), who have won 22 of 23 dating to last season. Hillary Sigmon had 14 points and Gabby Tyler scored 13 for the 49ers (5-5), who have lost five straight.
Illinois 68, Montana 56 BOX
Illini junior Karisma Penn posted her fifth double-double of the season to lead the Orange and Blue to a 68-56 victory over Montana State (7-3) Monday afternoon in the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic. Kansas State 64, Northwestern 45 BOX
Morgan Jones and Kendall Hackney turned in double-digit efforts, but it was not enough as Northwestern dropped a 64-45 decision to Kansas State in its second game of the BTI Invitational in Las Vegas. With the loss, Northwestern, which was out to its best start since 1995, falls to 9-2 on the year.
