A pair of Big Ten women's hoops teams were in action Tuesday night, and both ran away with easy victories. No. 17 Penn State thumped Virginia Tech, 66-28, behind Maggie Lucas' 20 points, and Michigan State took care of instate foe Detroit, 64-41. (AP) Maggie Lucas scored 20 points to help No. 17 Penn State cruise to a 66-28 victory over Virginia Tech on Tuesday night. Nikki Greene added 14 points for the Nittany Lions (7-2) and Alex Bentley had 11 to reach 1,000 for her career. Aerial Wilson had 10 points to lead Virginia Tech (2-6), which was held scoreless over the final 13:15. Penn State used a 14-0 run midway through the first half to pull away.
