Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith visited Illinois practice during the BTN Football Tour in August. The Illini are fresh off a 7-6 season that saw them finish with a bang, destroying Baylor, 38-14, in the Texas Bowl. Ron Zook's team lost a lot of talent, from Mikel Leshoure to Corey Liuget, but it returns enough proven players to have fans expecting more. It all starts with QB Nathan Scheelhaase, who looks bigger and stronger and hopes to build on a terrific end to his freshman season. The Illini open the season Sept. 3 against Arkansas State. Watch all of our Illinois Preview video inside.
Very quietly, Nathan Scheelhaase finished his freshman campaign on an absolute tear, with 13 touchdowns and one interception over the final seven games. What does he have in store in his second season?
Which Illini do Coach and Howard think Big Ten fans should look out for in 2011? Find out below.
