Photo: Maryland adds B1G logo at Byrd Stadium

When Maryland held its spring game last month, the ACC logo was fading on the turf at Byrd Stadium. With the calendar flipped to May and the school set to become an official Big Ten member on July 1, the team decided it was time to get rid of the old logo and add the required B1G logo. See a shot of Byrd Stadium in this post.

Not sure if the Terps are adding the logo to the other side of the field, like other Big Ten teams do, but it’s a nice sight to see.

Welcome, Maryland!

B1G logo was for a photo opp. We still had to host a NCAA tourney Lax game yet to be played on ESPN2, and technically don’t join the B1G until July 1. No way the ACC would allow us to keep that logo until the game was played.
