Video: Brutus gets leveled in football practice

You know it’s spring when the school mascots are getting reps with the football team. At Ohio State, Brutus even lined up at quarterback during a recent fan appreciation day. And while the mascot showed Braxton Miller-like ability to escape the rush, he wasn’t fortunate enough to avoid David Perkins’ bone-crushing, ball-dislodging hit.

Ouch! Here’s to hoping that costume provides some kind of padding. The good news: Brutus got right back up and was a good sport about being leveled.

As for Perkins, nice form tackle, kid!
