By taking Kirk Cousins, the Skins have guaranteed a mess of "Heath Shuler/Gus Frerotte" stories this off season. Stupid and unnecessary.—

And this, ladies and gentlen, is why they are the Washington Redskins. #confounding #insane #nonsensical #losers—

So the Redskins draft RG3 AND, with the 102nd pick in the 4th round, Michigan St. QB Kirk Cousins.—

Odd spot for Kirk Cousins, but think he'll start for someone in NFL someday. Battler. Had 0 offers when he played his last HS game.—
Bruce Feldman (@BFeldmanCBS) April 28, 2012
You know you're getting desperate, draft broadcast, when you're trying to drum up a QB controversy involving Kirk Cousins.—
Stewart Mandel (@slmandel) April 28, 2012
RG3 and Kirk Cousins will form the All-Good guy team on the Redskins.—
Bryan Fischer (@BryanDFischer) April 28, 2012
Cousins was going to have to fight for a job regardless. And he will. RGIII pry didn't want to look over his shoulder. But he will.—
Nick Baumgardner (@nickbaumgardner) April 28, 2012
Oh,Redskins. You trade all those picks for RG3,then use a 4th rounder on his backup? W/vets under contract? That's why you're the Redskins.—
Matt Spiegel (@MattSpiegel670) April 28, 2012
Kirk Cousins is a great pick in the third round. But to the Redskins, who have RGIII? Cousins gets flattered and marginalized at same time!—
Bob Wojnowski (@bobwojnowski) April 28, 2012
Kirk Cousins is a high-character guy. But how'd you like to go to a team where you know you're a backup?—
Bill Rabinowitz (@brdispatch) April 28, 2012
Poor Kirk Cousins … no veteran to learn from … no chance to play … terrible pick by the Redskins and a bad spot for him.—
Mike Wilson (@SpartansOrDie) April 28, 2012
No doubt, it’s an interesting pick. Let’s hope, for Cousins’ sake, the Redskins were making a value pick to use as trade bait. That has to be the case, right? Stay tuned. If not, Cousins has the makeup to make the most of the opportunity.
