No. 6 Michigan State rallied past Minnesota late (recap) and Purdue knocked off Nebraska (recap) in our Super Wednesday doubleheader, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings. Purdue 83, Nebraska 65: BOX | AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: Robbie Hummel scored 29 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lift Purdue to an 83-65 win over Nebraska on Wednesday at Mackey Arena. Lewis Jackson also had a great game, contributing 13 points, three rebounds and five assists for the Boilermakers (18-10), who shot 55 percent from the field (30-of-55), including 45 percent from distance (13-of-29). D.J. Byrd had a quality shooting game, nailing 5-of-9 shots from the field and scoring 15 points. The Boilermakers also got double-digit efforts from Terone Johnson, who scored 11 and Ryne Smith, who scored 12. Bo Spencer scored 19 points, pulled down three rebounds, contributed four assists, knocked down 8-of-14 shot attempts, and hit 3-of-5 three-pointers for Nebraska (12-14). Nebraska shot 52 percent from the field (27-of-52).  The Boilermakers never trailed in the game and their largest lead was 23, which came early in the second half.

HALFTIME: Robbie Hummel scored 18 points for Purdue in the first half to carry the Boilermakers to a 47-30 lead over Nebraska. Purdue led 32-25 before the Boilermakers went on a 15-5 run to close the half. Purdue led by as many as 17 points in the first half and never trailed. The Cornhuskers shared the ball, finishing with nine assists on 12 field goals in the first half. Brandon Richardson is putting together a nice game so far for Nebraska, with nine points, three rebounds and three assists.

Indiana 75, North Carolina 56: BOX | AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: Victor Oladipo scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds and Cody Zeller added 17 points and seven boards as No. 24 Indiana topped North Carolina Central, 75-56, on Wednesday at Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers (21-7) broke out to an early 14-point lead after a 21-7 run with 11:27 to go in the first half. Derek Elston shot 3-of-5 from the field and added 10 points for Indiana, which shot 51 percent from the field (26-of-51) and 76 percent from the charity stripe (19-of-25). The Hoosiers gave themselves second chances during the game, snatching 15 offensive rebounds. Dominique Sutton scored 21 points and went 10-of-16 from the field for North Carolina Central (14-13), which made 47 percent of  its field goals (20-of-43). The Hoosiers never trailed in the game and their largest lead was 24, which came with 5:34 to go.

HALFTIME: Cody Zeller and Will Sheehey combined for a successful first half as No. 24 Indiana leads 39-26 over North Carolina Central. Zeller scored 11 points and shot 4-of-6 from the field, while Sheehey scored eight points, grabbed four rebounds and shot 4-of-6 from the field. The Hoosiers controlled the boards, outrebounding the Eagles 15-7 in the first half. Indiana never trailed in the first half and led by as many as 16 points. Indiana goes into the break with an offensive rebounding advantage of 8-2. Dominique Sutton and Ray Willis carried the Eagles in the first half with 20 of their team's 26 total points.

Michigan State 66, Minnesota 61: BOX |  AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: No. 6 Michigan State used a 12-0 run with 3:05 to go to sew up its 66-61 win over Minnesota on Wednesday at Williams Arena. The teams traded the lead 18 times in the game. Julian Welch was a bright spot for Minnesota (17-11), with 10 points, three rebounds and eight assists. Draymond Green sparked Michigan State (23-5), as he scored 17 points, hauled in three rebounds, and had five assists in the victory. Brandon Wood had a big game, too, nailing 6-of-10 shots from the field and scoring 13 points. The Spartans made the extra pass all game long, tallying 15 assists on 22 baskets. Michigan State also got a double-digit game from Keith Appling, who scored 13. Austin Hollins shot 5-of-8 from the field and scored 17 points for the Golden Gophers. Minnesota hit 47 percent of its field goals (21-of-45). The victory extends Michigan State's winning streak to six games.

HALFTIME: Draymond Green scored 12 points for No. 6 Michigan State in the first half to carry the Spartans to a 31-30 lead over Minnesota. Both teams took turns controlling the momentum as there were 16 lead changes. The Golden Gophers made 11 of 17 two-point shots in the first half, but shot 2-of-9 from beyond the arc. Minnesota played team basketball in the first half, to the tune of eight assists on 13 field goals. Ralph Sampson III, the Golden Gophers' best player on court thus far, needs to watch his foul count after having racked up three already. In the first 20 minutes, Sampson III scored six points, grabbed four rebounds and shot 3-of-4 from the field. Michigan State distributed the ball well, with nine assists on 13 field goals in the first half.
