KK Houser scored 17 points to help No. 18 Purdue beat Wisconsin 63-52 on Thursday night. Wisconsin’s Taylor Wurtz, who entered the game averaging 16.1 points per game, was held scoreless on 0-for-10 shooting. Thursday's Big Ten Hoops Roundup

Penn State smothered Purdue’s shooters as the Nittany Lions beat the Boilermakers 65-45 Thursday at the Bryce Jordan Center for Penn State’s first Big Ten win of the season. At Indiana, Christian Watford scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lift No. 12 Indiana to a 73-71 win over No. 13 Michigan at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

Wisconsin may have lost the Rose Bowl, but it gained a big win today when Montee Ball opted to return to school for his senior season. “I’m looking forward to bettering my stock and improving in the offseason,” said Ball, who said the NFL told him he projected to be a third-round draft choice.

MSU's Worthy Headed to NFL

Michigan State consensus All-American Jerel Worthy announced Thursday that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2012 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 310-pound junior defensive tackle produced a tackle for loss in nine of MSU’s 14 games. Read the full report at MSUSpartans.com.
