Minnesota’s Donnell Kirkwood ran for 73 yards in the quarter, and the two teams are tied 3-3 at the end of the second. The Golden Gophers tied things up at three when a 10-play, 75-yard drive ended after Jordan Wettstein made a 20-yard field goal. Minnesota’s drive was keyed by Kirkwood’s 48-yard run.
No matter what happens from here on out, Michigan wide receiver Roy Roundtree will be remembered for his catch in Saturday’s game vs. Northwestern. The 53-yard tip reception was jaw-dropping regardless of the game situation, but it was all the more ridiculous because it set up Michigan’s game-tying field goal with two seconds left at Michigan Stadium. The Wolverines, of course, went on to win the game in overtime.

Ball and White had their share of help on the ground, too, as the Badgers racked up a school-record and Memorial Stadium-record 564 yards, not to mention seven rushing touchdowns. Devin Gardner ran for a 1-yard touchdown in overtime and Michigan’s defense responded with a stop, giving the Wolverines a wild 38-31 win over Northwestern on Saturday. Trevor Siemian threw a 15-yard pass to Tony Jones with 3:59 left to give the Wildcats a 31-28 lead and Gardner threw an interception on the next snap.
Penn State’s passing attack has looked sharp over the first 15 minutes of action, with 90 yards, and the Nittany Lions lead 7-3 at the end of the first quarter. Penn State’s Zach Zwinak ran for 59 yards and one touchdown in the quarter, although he did have a costly fumble in Nebraska territory.
