We are less than a week away from the debut of a show that every Big Ten football fan will want to see. “The Journey 2012″ debuts next Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET, and the show’s producers head out to this weekend’s games in order to take viewers inside the Big Ten football season with behind-the-scenes access. Wednesday Olympic Sports Round-Up

Several Big Ten teams were in action Wednesday night, including the  sixth-ranked Nebraska volleyball team hosting the 24th-ranked Michigan State volleyball team. The Cornhuskers made quick work of the Spartans, sweeping them in straight sets. Osborne's steady hand guided Huskers' progress

Staid and stoic. I can’t think of two words that better describe Tom Osborne. He also was very good at whatever he did, and he did plenty. First as a football coach. Later, as an athletic director. Now, the 75-year-old Osborne is retiring effective Jan. 1, making the announcement today in Lincoln.
