Golden age dawns for Buckeyes vs. Wolverines

Stop. Lift your head and look around. Take a moment to drink in what we are about to witness. This will be the first meeting between Ohio State coach Urban Meyer and Michigan coach Brady Hoke. And it’s the beginning of what I think will be a golden age for this All-American rivalry. That’s saying a lot, I know. This is one of America’s greatest feuds. And it is defined by two names: Woody vs. Bo. But Brady vs. Urban has a chance to be special. Brady vs. Urban has a chance to be great. Brady vs. Urban has a

Week 13 Previews: Plenty at stake this weekend

The final week of the regular season is upon us and there is still a lot is on the line. Nebraska needs a win at Iowa to clinch the Legends Division crown on Friday. On Saturday, Ohio State is trying to punctuate a 12-0 season with a triumph over Michigan. How sweet would that be for Buckeye fans? Of course, the Wolverines would love to trash that Buckeye dream and win the Legends, and they can do just that with a victory over Ohio State and loss by Nebraska. Purdue and Michigan State need wins to become bowl eligible. And Wisconsin

What to do with Big Ten divisions?

As BTN’s Gerry DiNardo mentioned during Tuesday’s coverage of Rutgers joining the Big Ten, there are three variables to consider when creating the conference’s new divisions: 1. Competitive balance; 2. geography; and 3. rivalries. Right now, no one knows how the new divisions will look, and that includes commissioner Jim Delany. Said Delany on the rumors out there: “Those are news to me.” The only thing that’s a guarantee is there will be change. Whether it’s moving Illinois to the Legends and throwing Maryland and Rutgers into the Leaders – one of the popular rumors – or something else, we’ll
