Video: Watch our Montee Ball highlight reel

Last week, “Big Ten Football Report” compiled a Denard Robinson highlight package; this week, it was Montee Ball’s turn. And just like Robinson’s video, Ball’s 2012 piece does not disappoint. It should come as no surprise, though, as the 2012 Doak Walker Award winner ripped off his share of individual highlights this season on his way to becoming the NCAA career touchdown leader. Watch the video now. Check out Ball’s career stats below: Year Team G Rush Yds Yd/Rush TDs Rec Yds Yd/Rec TDs 2009 Wisc 9 98 391 4.0 4 9 92 10.2 0 2010 Wisc 12 163 996

Big Ten Whiteboard: Another big week in Big Ten hoops

How can you top last week in the Big Ten, which saw Minnesota play at Indiana and Michigan travel to Ohio State? You can’t. Still, this week has some nice matchups. Today's links: Sort through another big hoops weekend

What a big weekend of hoops in the Big Ten, with Titanic games between Minnesota and Indiana and Michigan and Ohio State. Great place to start daily links. Esteemed Indianapolis Star columnist Bob Kravitz came away impressed with Indiana freshman point guard Yogi Ferrell following the Hoosiers’ hang-on-for-dear-life win over Minnesota on Saturday. Why not? Ferrell was sensational, driving, dishing, scoring and defending. How much so? Kravitz says Ferrell reminds him of—yep, you guessed it and have heard it before—Isiah Thomas. Ferrell isn’t asked to do as much as Thomas was a freshman in 1979-80. And, Ferrell doesn’t need to

Who throws a shoe? McCaffery ducks flying shoe

Warning to the Big Ten: If a player loses a shoe in Aaron White’s vicinity, be alert. In Sunday’s win at Northwestern, the Iowa sophomore nearly took out Fran McCaffery when he threw Alex Marcotullio’s shoe off the court. It was an alert move by White, actually, because play continued despite the flat tire. Thing is, in his attempt to get rid of the footwear and return to his spot on the floor in a timely manner, White tossed an absolute laser toward the Iowa bench.
