Traevon Jackson made a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer and finished with 15 points, and No. 22 Wisconsin survived an upset scare from Penn State with a 63-60 win Sunday in its regular-season finale. The Badgers (21-10, 12-6 Big Ten) went the length of the court with less than 4 seconds left. Jackson pulled up at the wing and made the 3 over the outstretched arm of Kevin Montminy.

Upset city! MSU drops top-seeded PSU in Big Ten semi

Jasmine Thomas scored 14 of her 19 points in the second half and Michigan State used its stout defense to upset No. 8 Penn State 54-46 in the Big Ten tournament semifinals. Becca Mills added 16 points for the Spartans (24-7), who held Penn State to 22 percent shooting and enjoyed a 52-38 rebounding edge.

Purdue tops Nebraska, moves onto B1G title game

Sam Ostarello scored 18 points, Courtney Moses had 16 and Purdue beat No. 21 Nebraska 77-64 on Saturday to advance to the Big Ten tournament championship. KK Houser added 13 points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists for the Boilermakers (23-8), who also beat Nebraska 69-66 in overtime on Jan. 5.

Video: Purdue recognizes D.J. Byrd & Dru Anthrop

Iowa downs Nebraska, 74-60, for 20th win

Aaron White led a balanced effort with 19 points and Iowa beat Nebraska 74-60 in its regular-season finale on Saturday, finishing at .500 in the Big Ten for the first time in six years. Freshman Adam Woodbury added 12 points and Melsahn Basabe registered an 11-point, 13-rebound double-double for the Hawkeyes (20-11, 9-9), who clinched the No. 6 seed in next week’s Big Ten tournament.

Video: Iowa honors seniors May & Rickert

Prior to Saturday’s season-finale victory over Nebraska, Iowa honored two-time captain Eric May and walk-on Christopher Rickert on Senior Day. May, the lone player left from the Todd Lickliter regime and a crowd favorite, grabbed six rebounds, dished out six assists and had a steal Saturday to help the Hawkeyes claim their first 20-win season since 2005-06 and their first .500 conference clip since 2006-07.
