Nebraska rallies from 19 down to drop Iowa, 64-60

Dylan Talley‘s tie-breaking, shot clock-beating 3-pointer with 9.2 seconds left sent Nebraska to a 64-60 victory over Iowa Saturday and put a dent in the Hawkeyes’ NCAA tournament hopes. The Cornhuskers (13-14, 4-10 Big Ten) used a couple of big runs in the second half to come back from a 16-point halftime deficit and end the Hawkeyes’ three-game win streak.

Hoosiers flex muscles as race hits homestretch

Indiana was a big winner this week, showing why it’s the No. 1 team in the nation and a favorite to win the school’s first national championship since 1987, when Keith Smart hit one of the biggest shots in school history to down Syracuse. Iowa sends No. 12 Minnesota to first defeat

The University of Iowa women’s gymnastics team upset No. 12 Minnesota, 195.725-195.550, in Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Friday night. The Hawkeyes hit 24 for 24 routines and finished with a 49.225 floor performance to sew up the win. Minnesota was undefeated before falling to Iowa. Read the full recap at HawkeyeSports.com.

'Football Pioneers' show honors Black History Month

BTN will air a 30-minute special Black History Month presentation called “Football Pioneers” at 9:30 p.m. ET Friday Hosted by Howard Griffith, the show features interviews with former Northwestern head coach Dennis Green,who was just the second African-American head coach in Division I history. We also talk with Sidney Williams, a former Wisconsin quarterback who was Big Ten’s first African-American starting quarterback, and current Purdue head coach Darrell Hazell.
