Dienhart: This Michigan State team is motivated

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Spartans looked impressive in practice Sunday, though they may be showing some “camp legs.” Still, this is an impressive-looking team that is loaded with athletic ability. More vital: It’s a motivated team coming off a 7-6 season. It was a spirited workout that moved efficiently. Mark Dantonio wasn’t as hands-on as some other head coaches I have seen, opting to rove from spot to spot.

No. 1 game of 2012: Michigan 38, NU 31 (OT)

And we’ve reached No. 1 on BTN’s top 10 games of the 2012 football season. The winner: Michigan’s 31-28 overtime victory over Northwestern. This was a wild game, one that featured five lead changes and three ties. Oh, and one of the more memorable plays of the season (Roy Roundtree’s catch above).
