BTN/BTN2Go to air six prime-time football games

CHICAGO – BTN today announced it has selected six games to air in primetime this fall, with teams including the conference’s 2013 Big Ten Champion Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan and Big Ten newcomers Rutgers University and the University of Maryland. BTN to air seven Big Ten Winter Championships

CHICAGO – For the seventh consecutive year, BTN will televise seven winter Big Ten Championships, including wrestling, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, men’s and women’s indoor track & field and men’s and women’s gymnastics. Among BTN’s expert analysts for the upcoming Big Ten winter championships are three former Olympians, including gymnasts Shawn Johnson and John Roethlisberger, diver David Boudia and Rowdy Gaines, a World Champion swimmer. BTN provides full bowl season coverage

BTN will air extensive coverage of the 2013-14 bowl season, including live reports from the historic 100th Rose Bowl Game on New Year’s Day. Seven Big Ten teams are competing in this year’s bowl season, including two in the BCS, marking the 15th straight year that six or more conference squads will take part in the postseason play. Up first is Minnesota, which heads to the Texas Bowl to take on Syracuse on Dec. 27, with BTN’s Sue Ann Robak on-site in Houston reporting from the sidelines. BTN expands studio team of basketball analysts

CHICAGO – BTN will bolster its team of studio analysts to coincide with the start of conference basketball by adding former Maryland and Ohio State head coach Gary Williams and Hall of Fame sportswriters Dick “Hoops” Weiss and Mike DeCourcy, who returns for a third season. In total, BTN will televise 67 men’s conference basketball matchups, including nine straight weeks of “Super Wednesday” doubleheaders, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, and four Big Ten Tournament games. BTN will provide extensive coverage of the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis this weekend, when No. 2 Ohio State takes on No. 10 Michigan State.
