Northwestern puts #B1GCats on tonight's game ball

It’s Social Media Night for Wednesday’s No. 17 Wisconsin-Northwestern game at Welsh-Ryan Arena. In honor of the night, the game ball will include Northwestern’s hash tag of choice, #B1GCATS, the scoreboard will read “#B1GCATS” and “#BADGERS,” and each Wildcat will have his personal Twitter account on the back of his shooting shirt.

Big Ten Geeks: Say Hello to your champs

Indiana pulled out a huge road win over Michigan State, thanks largely to the all-around heroics of Victor Oladipo. The surging national player of the year contender made things happen all over the court. On the offensive end, Oladipo was about as efficient as it gets, attacking the tin (he went six for seven on dunks and layups, ridiculous numbers for a guard) while turning it over only once.

Today's links: What does Hoosiers' big win mean?

No edition of daily links on this morning could start anywhere but with last night’s big Indiana 72-68 win at Michigan State. The victory ended a miserable 17-game losing skid for the No. 1 Hoosiers at Michigan State. But, more importantly, it put Indiana alone in first place in the Big Ten and in firm control of its destiny. In fact, it will take a big flop by the Hoosiers for them not to win the Big Ten for the first time since 2002 back when IU lost the national title game to Maryland. Games remain at Minnesota; vs. Iowa; vs. Ohio State; at Michigan.

Did You See This? Oladipo gets fancy & dunks

It’s a move players think of doing quite a bit, but it’s one they rarely attempt in a game situation. Unless your name is Victor Oladipo, apparently. In Tuesday’s 72-68 victory at No. 5 Michigan State, the exciting junior threw the inbound pass off Matt Costello’s backside, and it worked to perfection. In typical Oladipo fashion, he turned the inbound pass into a quick, powerful slam. Watch the play here.
