#BTNStandout: Iowa's Jake Mangler makes outstanding leaping catch

The Iowa Hawkeyes have been one of the best fielding teams throughout all of college baseball this season. The highlight plays continued on Saturday, but it was one play in particular that really stole the show. With the game scoreless and one out in the bottom of the first inning, Rutgers’ Joe D’Annunzio stepped to the plate and drilled a line shot, which looked like a clear single into right-center. #BTNStandout: Purdue's Kyle Johnson makes great diving catch

Purdue’s Kyle Johnson had himself a day on Thursday. The Boilermakers’ junior center fielder had two hits, one of which was a two-run single in a 8-2 win over Penn State. However, it was his highlight-reel catch in the top of the fourth inning that really caught everyone’s attention. With Purdue holding onto a 3-0 lead, Johnson made an incredible diving catch, ranging to his right and robbing Penn State’s Tyler Kendall of an extra-base hit. Illinois baseball 'enjoying the ride' during historic 2015 season

Three more games. That’s all that remains in Illinois’ historic 2015 regular season. Winners of a program-record 24 consecutive games, including six straight Big Ten series sweeps, the Illini (43-6-1, 19-1) host Nebraska on the season’s final weekend. Illinois’ magic number is two, so it could clinch the Big Ten title as early as Thursday night, with a victory and an Iowa (37-12, 18-3) loss at Rutgers. Before the Illini open up their final series, BTN.com caught up with Illinois beat writer Scott Richey, of The News-Gazette, to get his take on the special season. #BTNStandout: Western Illinois' Brent Turner robs Iowa of a hit

Iowa baseball fans were treated to an eye-popping, diving catch on Tuesday night. [ MORE: Purdue’s Alec Olund lays out for highlight grab ] Unfortunately for the Hawkeyes, this one came at their expense. Holding onto a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, Iowa senior Nick Day stepped to the plate with no outs. Day hit a shot to deep left-center, which looked like it was going to land in the gap. However, Western Illinois’ Brent Turner laid out for the ball and made an incredible diving catch.
