The biggest number at the BTN offices today is 5 – as in our five-year anniversary. The years have flown by – though some of the days have been a bit arduous. That’s the nature of any kind of new venture. I was reflecting this morning on my first meeting with the BTN people. Frankly, I wasn’t sure how interested I was. Another sneak peek at "The Journey"

“The Journey” 2012″ debuts Wednesday, Oct. 3. Go ahead and make a note of that in your calendar because the weekly documentary-style show is going to be must-see TV for any Big Ten football fan. In the days and weeks leading up to the debut, the producers are rolling out these short but cool videos for each Big Ten school. So far we’ve covered Minnesota, Northwestern, Indiana and Purdue. The Big Ten Conference announced the 2012-13 Big Ten men’s basketball schedule Thursday. The conference season begins on New Year’s Eve and culminates in March with the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament at the United Center in Chicago.

Let the Big Ten football predictions begin

The 2012 Big Ten football season kicks off with Minnesota visiting UNLV late Thursday night. The Week 1 slate continues Friday, as Michigan State takes on always dangerous Boise State, and wraps up Saturday with the conference’s remaining 10 games, including Michigan battling reigning national champ Alabama.
