Illinois fans will have to wait an extra day to see their football team take the field. The Fighting Illini’s Friday night season opener against Kent State was postponed due to weather and will be played today (Saturday) at 1 p.m. CT. The game can be seen live on BTN2Go. Freshman Sebastian Elney scored a game-winning goal in overtime to help lead No. 6 Maryland to an incredible 2-1 win over No. 1-ranked UCLA on Friday night at Lugwig Field in College Park, Maryland. The Terps got on the board first when Mael Corboz scored on a penalty kick with 23:41 remaining in the second half. UCLA answered as Abu Danladi scored to tie it at 1-1 with 9:30 left.
