It came in a losing effort, yes, but Ameer Abdullah‘s hurdling run was a highlight regardless of the outcome Saturday afternoon. Watch Abdullah hurdle a Gopher on his way to a nifty 22-yard scamper in Nebraska’s 34-23 loss at Minnesota. Abdullah finished the day with a game-high 165 yards rushing.

It’s rare for a one-yard run to drop jaws, but that’s just what Braxton Miller did on his short highlight-reel scoring run last season at Penn State. The run was so great, in fact, the Ohio State quarterback picked it as his “Signature Moment.” And to think it almost didn’t happen.
As former Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi said following the Hawkeyes’ 2010 Orange Bowl victory: “If you don’t love it, leave it. USA, No. 1.” One Iowa fan at Saturday’s game vs. Northwestern agrees 100 percent.
Iowa basketball fans were treated to a fun night of festivities as Fran McCaffery’s team was introduced to the public at the Hawkeyes’ Black and Gold Blowout event on Friday evening. The night’s events included a team introduction, a dunk contest and a full scrimmage.
