Ohio State earns No. 1 seed in 2017 Big Ten women's basketball tourney
No. 2 Maryland and No. 12 Ohio State both won Sunday to claim a share of the 2017 Big Ten women’s regular-season crown.
The Terrapins took care of Minnesota, to claim their third straight Big Ten title, while the Buckeyes rolled Rutgers, to pick up their first Big Ten trophy since 2010.
With Sunday’s victory, Ohio State earns the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten tourney, by virtue of the head-to-head win vs. Maryland, which is the No. 2 seed.
The tournament tips off Wednesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
