Finally, the day has arrived for the inaugural release of the College Football Playoff poll. But if you?re looking for drama when the poll is announced at 7 p.m. ET, keep looking. Here's how I see the top 4 shaking out:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Michigan
4. Texas A&M

Where is unbeaten Washington, you ask? The Huskies schedule lacks much oomph at this point, but the win at Utah last week was a resume-builder. That?s why they should slide in at No. 5.

The Big Ten is sitting pretty as one of the strongest leagues in America. The champion of the conference seems assured of securing one of the four playoff spots as the Big Ten looks for its second championship in three years.

Could the Big Ten get two playoff teams?

Expect Big Ten teams Ohio State and Wisconsin to slide into the Top 10 of the CFP poll. And Nebraska and Penn State should rank in the Top 15.

The final poll will be released December 6. Expect a lot of changes between then and now.
