Iowa has seen a lot of success in the last 10 NFL drafts-especially along the trenches. And that success should continue in this year?s draft.

Offensive tackle Brandon Scherff added to the impressive list of Hawkeye blockers drafted, going fifth overall last year. He joined fellow ex-Hawkeye linemen Riley Reiff and Bryan Bulaga as first-round picks in the last 10 years. (Robert Gallery was a first-rounder in 2004.) Austin Blythe may be the next Iowa offensive lineman drafted. Other Hawkeyes who are most likely to get tabbed are free safety Jordan Lomax, kicker Marshall Koehn and maybe defensive end Drew Ott. Had cornerback Desmond King entered he draft after winning the Thorpe Award in 2015, he may have been a first-rounder.

Iowa has had a lack of offensive skill talent picked of late. To wit: Just one Hawkeyes quarterback has been selected since 1992-Ricky Stanzi in 2011. C.J. Beathard may change that in 2017. And the last Iowa wideout to catch a pass in the NFL? It was Tim Dwight in 2006. The only Hawkeye receiver picked in the last 10 years was a converted quarterback in Marvin McNutt. And for a school with a rep for ground-pounding attacks, just one running back has been selected from 2006-2015: Shonn Greene in 2009.

Here is a look at Iowa over the last 10 NFL drafts.
