What a few days for Rachel Banham.

Two days after pouring in a Big Ten women's single-game record and NCAA-tying 60 points (watch all of them) in a double overtime victory Sunday at Northwestern, the Minnesota star got a Twitter shout-out from her favorite player, Kobe Bryant, who is no stranger to reaching the 60-point plateau.

The tweet happened early Tuesday afternoon, and Banham couldn't believe it when she saw it in her timeline.

BTN's Lisa Byington asked Banham about Bryant in a "B1G Women's Sports Report" interview Monday night, and playfully mentioned that the NBA star, an active Twitter user, hasn't tweeted her yet.

Banham's response?

"No," she said. "I'm waiting for you, Kobe. Tweet me."

She added: "I would love it."

Well, consider it done.

Here's the part of the interview about Bryant.

Coolest part, perhaps: Bryant is now following Banham, just the 209th person he follows.
