Few things are more sacred to the Nebraska football program and it fans than the Blackshirts.

That was evident in several of the Huskers' reactions to receiving their iconic Blackshirts in the team locker room Monday.

The player at the end of the video showing all of the emotion, that's former walk-on and current captain Jack Gangwish.

The Blackshirts nickname dates back to the Bob Devaney era and describes the black jersey the defense wears during practice.
