Who are the Big Ten's top quarterbacks? Omaha.com, rates the Big Ten signal-callers.

Sam McKewon and Jon Nyatawa ranked the Big Ten's quarterbacks and talked about potential sleepers, who is due for a breakout season, who just doesn't have it and more. The league has some nice signal-callers at the top, but it drops pretty quickly.

Speaking of Nebraska, Omaha.com catches up with Bill Callahan. You remember him, right? He?s now the Redskins offensive line coach.

Who will be some of the top redshirt freshmen this season? Check out his video from Campus Insiders.

Wisconsin?s T.J. Edwards and Michigan?s Jabrill Peppers make the list. Personally, I can?t wait to see Peppers in action.

Shane Morris isn?t going to sit around and just let Jake Rudock transfer in from Iowa and take the Michigan quarterback job.

"I think I can win the starting job because I have the mentality to do so," Morris said instructing campers at U-M's Aerial Assault quarterbacks camp. "Right now it's my job to lose and I'm just going to keep working hard and fight of any competitors that are trying to take it away from me."

I still think Rudock will win the gig. But, Morris is gonna give it a shot.

The battle for field position this season will be key for Northwestern.

InsideNU.com notes that starting field position is a combination of several facets of the game. The offense must sustain drives to flip field position. The defense should give up relatively few yards and force quick series. Turnovers are key too and often can flip the field. Special teams proficiency has a lot to do with it as well; pinning teams deep in their own half can be hugely helpful, especially when the offense struggles - just look at the four punts Northwestern downed inside the 10-yard line against Wisconsin in the Wildcats' upset win.

Rutgers A.D. Julie Hermann says she ?would love to? put the first shovel in the ground for new buildings-which this athletic program needs desperately.

"Facilities is definitely an issue for us," Hermann said. "It's an urgent matter. We have to step up and get Big Ten-ready. That includes facilities. So for me this has been a front-burner issue since I came on board. But do do what it was going to take to get everyone in alignment and to build a consensus from athletics all the way to our governing boards, that obviously took Dr. Barchi and our leadership team some time to come up with what we think is a great solution."
