Doug Lesmerises of Cleveland.com wondered if Urban Meyer could build an NFL team with his former players. Turns out, he could. And it would be a pretty good squad, too. Check it out.

On the subject of OSU, DE Joey Bosa tops Mel Kiper?s list of 2016 prospects. No shock.

Jadeveon Clowney in 2014, Mario Williams in 2006 and Courtney Brown in 2000-all ends–are the only defensive players drafted No. 1 overall in the last 20 years. And three Ohio State players have been taken No. 1 overall, starting with linebacker Tom Cousineau in 1979, then defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson in 1994 and offensive tackle Orlando Pace in 1997.

But what about Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg going No. 1 overall next year?

He needs to show consistency. Bleacher Report notes that Hackenberg had a large split between his freshman and sophomore years. In 2013, he threw 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, but in 2014, he threw three more interceptions than touchdowns (15 and 12).

I knew there was a reason why I liked Penn State DT Anthony Zettel. Check out this video of him training by tackling a tree.

I want this guy on my team.

The great Lee Barfknecht of Omaha.com tries to get a read on Nebraska hoops. The program was a darling in 2013-14 but it regressed in 2014-15. What?s up?

Here is one reason to be excited: The Huskers will welcome their most touted recruiting class in 15-20 years. Here is one reason to be bummed: Terran Petteway bolted early.

It?s the offseason. So, InsideNU.com is celebrating the Wildcats? six-month anniversary of their big win at Notre Dame. Go ahead. Enjoy.

No question, Iowa?s Aaron White will be drafted-according to one NBA analyst. I know I?d take the guy. He would be a terrific energy player off the bench who always can find a way to contribute in myriad ways.

Rutgers QB Gary Nova wasn?t drafted. But his college coach, Kyle Flood, will be surprised if he isn?t in an NFL camp. Me, too.

"I'll be shocked when the training camps open up if Gary is not signed somewhere," Flood said last week during a stop on the 'R Big Tour.?

Nova earned a tryout at the Giants' rookie minicamp last week after going undrafted. Nova performed well during the three-day audition, but the Giants didn't sign him.

Well, that didn?t last long for Devin Gardner with the Patriots.

Right after the Final Four, Michigan State was ranked among the top 10 teams in the nation by many publications. Now, the Spartans have dropped in the eyes of the experts.

Kyle Austin of Mlive.com notes CBS Sports and Yahoo! both ranked the Spartans No. 9 immediately after the NCAA tournament, when the Spartans qualified for the Final Four. Since then, their stock has seemingly dropped. The Sporting News projects the lowest of the Spartans' offseason rankings. Among Big Ten teams in that ranking, the Spartans came in fifth behind Maryland (2), Indiana (15), Michigan (18) and Wisconsin (20). (The ranking came out before the Hoosiers dismissed two players last week.)
