The first day of the Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Tournament is in the books.

In the opening game of the evening, top-seeded Johns Hopkins scored the final four goals to top Penn State, 14-9.

The second game saw No. 3-seeded Ohio State beat No. 2 Maryland by a final score of 9-6.

The Buckeyes will take on the Blue Jays in the Big Ten men's final at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday.

JOHNS HOPKINS 14, PENN STATE 9: RECAP | VIDEO

Top-seeded Johns Hopkins used a four-goal game-ending run to pull away from fourth-seeded Penn State in the Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Semifinals at the University of Maryland Thursday night as the Blue Jays topped the Nittany Lions, 14-9, to advance to Saturday's championship game. The victory runs Hopkins' winning streak to four games and improves JHU's record to 8-6, while Penn State had its season come to an end at 5-9.

In the semifinals of the 2015 Big Ten Men?s Lacrosse Tournament, No. 14-ranked Ohio State scored six of the game?s final seven goals to come back from a 5-3 deficit and defeat No. 6-ranked Maryland (12-3), 9-6, Thursday night at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium. Ohio State, the tournament?s No. 3 seed, improves to 11-5 overall and will take on No. 1 seed Johns Hopkins (8-6) at 8 p.m. Saturday in the inaugural B1G Tournament championship game. BTN will televise the championship from College Park, Md., with the winner earning the league?s automatic berth into the NCAA Championship.
