The Michigan-Michigan State rivalry has developed into one of the most heated in-state rivalries in college football today.

While Michigan owned this rivalry early on, it is the Spartans who have been dominant on the gridiron as of late, winning six of the last seven meetings between these schools.

Well, it looks like this rivalry just added another chapter.

Michigan State's Spartan bronze statue, which sits square in the middle of campus, was given a Michigan makeover late Wednesday night. From the looks of it, the statue was pained Michigan blue, with a maize Block M in the middle of the statue's chest.

Reddit's college football Twitter account, @RedditCFB, tweeted out the following photo early Thursday morning, via 247Sports.

The Spartans and Wolverines are set to play on Oct. 17 in Ann Arbor.
