Happy National Signing Day, Big Ten fans! Here's one recruiting link for all 14 Big Ten teams.

Illinois: Matt Daniels and Bob Asmussen of the Champaign News-Gazette have a good look at Tim Beckman?s latest collection of signees. This link also includes a take on how the top signee in each of the past 10 classes turned out. I love that.

***

Indiana: The Fort Wayne News-Sentinel has an interactive map that plots where each Indiana recruit is from. Pretty neat. Indiana stayed mostly east of the Mississippi River in compiling its class. The Hoosiers loaded up on players in the secondary and grabbed a pair of quarterbacks. This is one of the most surprisingly successful classes in the league. Good job, Coach Wilson!

***

Iowa: Every school is looking for some type of recruiting edge. Well, Iowa may have one in some new football digs that are on par with most any school in the Big Ten.

"The better the facilities are, the more likely you are to get top-notch players," said recruiting guru Tom Lemming, who was in the building last month. "Iowa's is as good as anybody's."

***

Maryland: The Terrapins look to build on a successful Big Ten debut by adding some nice recruits. And this year?s haul contains the makings of a nice offensive line. And, as any coach will tell you, football is won up front.

***

Michigan: Signing Day fireworks at Michigan? Not likely, as Jim Harbaugh hasn?t had enough time to have a full impact. That will come in 2016.

Mlive.com notes that after firing Brady Hoke in early December, the Wolverines had two choices: Hire a guy quick with hopes of salvaging the 2015 recruiting class, or wait it out and roll the dice on the top coach in the market. Michigan did the latter, and was rewarded for its patience when it hired Harbaugh on Dec. 30. But the reward certainly came with some risk. And as signing day nears, Michigan's might feel a bit of it.

***

Michigan State: Few do a better job of evaluating talent than Mark Dantonio at Michigan State. And, he?s at it again, winning battles with the best in the Midwest for top talent while also developing three-star talent into four- and five-star studs. It?s amazing.

"They used to have problem beating Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State head-to-head for kids, but not so much anymore, they've been able to win some of those battles," Tom Lemming told MLive.com. "They did an excellent job in state and go some big-time players coming in from out of state.

***

Minnesota: The Minnesota recruits aren?t waiting to get onto campus to bond. They already have been doing so via text message.

***

Nebraska: Mike Riley has the makings of a nice initial class at Nebraska. He has had to cast a wide net to land his commits. But, that?s nothing unusual for a program that sits in a shallow talent base.

***

Northwestern: Here is all the info you?ll need on Northwestern?s incoming recruits from InsideNU.com. Few unearth gems as well as Pat Fitzgerald.

***

Ohio State: The Buckeyes need to massage their roster, as it will stand at 89 after Signing Day. It must be at 85 before August. This is a good look at how the Buckeyes will manage their numbers as they began a quest to repeat as national champs.

***

Penn State: The great Bob Flounders of Pennlive.com has six questions for Signing Day. Among them: Do the Nittany Lions have any significant depth issues?

Know this: Numbers could be an issue on the trenches on both sides of the ball. And that?s never a good thing. How much did the o-line struggle in 2014? The running backs averaged just 2.9 yards per rush and quarterback Christian Hackenberg was sacked 44 times.

***

Purdue: The Boilermakers need a lot of help. Look at the last two seasons, when the Boilermakers had a combined one Big Ten victory. Maybe they have some answers to nagging questions in this recruiting class.

I love running back Markell Jones. And the group of offensive linemen look good. Darrell Hazell may have something going on.

***

Rutgers: The Scarlet Knights are bringing in a solid class. But do you ever wonder what the selling points are for the staff when it is on the road selling the Scarlet Knights? Check it out.

"Going to nine bowl games in 10 years, there's not a lot of other programs that can say that," said Kyle Flood. "I believe there's only three others in the Big Ten that can say that. I think we're in rarefied air and recruits are recognizing that, and that's why we're having the success that we've had."

***

Wisconsin: The two premier recruits in Wisconsin?s incoming class are running backs. No shock there, as the school has forged a great reputation for producing top-flight runners. The duo of top backs in this 2015 class already have formed a bond.
