Basketball season is a couple months away, but the Nebraska program has a story that can't be ignored. Junior forward Shavon Shields recently shaved his head to support Avery Harriman, the 7-year-old son of Nebraska assistant Chris Harriman, who is facing his third battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

During BTN's summer tour visit to Lincoln, Neb., the Nebraska football staff wore the same "Avery Strong" t-shirt Shields and Avery are wearing.
