Rick Pitino and Peyton Siva take in NIT Championship

Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals saw their season come to an end last weekend with a 74-69 loss to Kentucky in the Sweet 16. Therefore, Pitino got the chance to take in tonight’s NIT Championship game between Minnesota and SMU. Of course, Pitino’s son, Richard, is the head coach of the Gophers.

Rick Pitino is taking in the game with former Louisville standout Peyton Siva, who was the starting point guard on the Cardinals’ 2013 National Championship team.

Here is a shot of Pitino and Siva sitting side-by-side at tonight’s game.

All the stars come out for games played at Madison Square Garden.

The Gophers, denied the NCAA, toughed it up and became champions of the NIT Tourney. Good going Gophers!
