Audio: Bo Pelini talks recording on teleconference

Like they do every Tuesday during the football season, Big Ten football coaches joined the conference’s weekly teleconference. This week, Bo Pelini’s time on the call had more than its share of interest. Because of this. And, more importantly, this. Listen to Pelini address his profanity-laced recording that Deadspin.com published Monday in this post.

Those players are right–Bo would do anything for them–but the bottom line is that he needs to win, and if he can’t do that, he at least needs to not get blown out by 3 touchdowns at home. Sorry, this isn’t la-la land, this is the reality of big-time college football.

No one hopes more than I do that Bo has what it takes to right the ship here, but the rest of the schedule suddenly looks very daunting.

This is unacceptable. He should have been fired the day that audio came out. You don’t call fans who have sold out every home game for 50+ years “fair weathered” while dropping f bombs at the fan base. TOTALLY unacceptable.

Just win games that you should win. If you loose a crazy game by 1 to 3 points you can some it up as we let it get away. Stop getting blown out. Taylor is hurt and I know he’s your boy, but if he’s not a duel threat then he’s an average QB.

Did Coach Bo make a mistake when he vocalized his displeasure with Huskers fans, of course he did. He needed at that time to learn just because his brain was thinking it didn’t mean his mouth needed to say it. Then again that we two years ago and he’s grown and matured as a figure head for our beloved Huskers Nation. But he does have a job to do and right now that includes fixing a lot of issues with the program and all of this media hype takes away from the job he needs to focus on. Tommy and the rest of the people need to allow him the chance to fix what is broken. Just like any job if you fail to perform there, you might end up unemployed. Allow him to rectify his mistakes like anyone else would want the chance to do. It was unfortunate we lost our first game that really mattered to many but we have quite a few big games left and those should matter most to any true Huskers fan. Prove them wrong Coach Bo, it’s in your hands now.

With all the high expectations of big time college football maybe Husker fans under estimated the Big 10 conference. When Penn State came into the conference in the 90′s I remember the media proclaiming how they would dominate all the “week” teams including OSU and UM. That idea was quickly blown out of the water. I think PSU has won two or three BIG titles. Now Husker fans may be realizing the same and it’s not that easy in the BIG and maybe why SEC schools will not travel north of the Ohio River. I know this was a little off subject but I’m sure these facts have to be grinding on Husker nations mind and Bo Pelinis’ job security.

What you are in private is who the real “you” is. I cannot fathom this occurring under Osborne. The worst you would have heard from him in private might have been a “dag gum it”.
