Fourth Quarter: Illinois 42, Southern Illinois 34

Southern Illinois’ Kory Faulkner led the offense in the fourth quarter. He threw for 108 yards and one touchdown and caught one pass for 29 yards, but Southern Illinois’ comeback effort fell short in a 42-34 loss.

The Salukis went on a 10-point run to close the game.

Illinois opened up the lead, 42-24, after marching down the field for a 10-play, 62-yard drive that ended when Taylor Zalewski drilled a 30-yard field goal.

Southern Illinois capped off a 51-yard drive when Thomas Kinney kicked a 41-yard field goal to make the score 42-27.

The Salukis made the score 42-34 after Faulkner threw a one-yard touchdown pass to MyCole Pruitt to finish off a 31-yard drive. The drive was set up at the Illinois 31-yard line when Southern Illinois recovered a fumble.

The Fighting Illini’s Josh Ferguson reached the 100-yard receiving mark for the game thanks to one catche for nine yards in the quarter, with 107 yards in all.

Fourth Quarter: Ohio State 40, Buffalo 20

The Buckeyes rushed for 79 yards in the quarter, and they kept the game out of reach for a 40-20 victory over Buffalo.

Ohio State held Buffalo to just 22 rushing yards in the quarter.

The Buckeyes closed the game on a 10-point run.

Ohio State expanded its lead to 40-20 thanks to a nine-play, 76-yard drive that ended when Drew Basil drilled a 39-yard field goal.

Running for 73 yards in the quarter, Cincinnati kept the game out of reach for a 42-7 victory over Purdue.

Cincinnati ended the game on a 35-point run.

The Bearcats opened up the lead, 35-7, after Hosey Williams ran for a 30-yard touchdown to end a four-play, 39-yard drive. The drive was set up at Purdue’s 39-yard line when Purdue failed to convert on 4th-and-8.

The Bearcats opened up the lead, 42-7, after marching down the field for a six-play, 79-yard drive that ended when Tion Green ran one yard for a touchdown. The drive also featured Brendon Kay’s 51-yard pass.

Fourth Quarter: Wisconsin 45, Massachusetts 0

No. 23 Wisconsin racked up 94 rushing yards in the fourth, and it kept the game out of reach for a 45-0 victory over Massachusetts.

Wisconsin made its lead 45-0 when Corey Clement pounded in a 23-yard touchdown run on the last play of an eight-play, 67-yard drive.

The Badgers’ Clement hit 100 yards rushing for the game in the quarter, part of his 101-yard rushing performance.

Third Quarter: Ohio State 37, Buffalo 20

No. 2 Ohio State gave up just 24 yards on the ground in the third quarter and the margin is still 17, as Ohio State leads 37-20.

Alex Neutz caught four passes for 56 yards and one touchdown in the quarter to lead Buffalo, which made the score 30-20 after Joe Licata threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Neutz to finish off a 62-yard drive.

Ohio State opened up the lead, 37-20, after Kenny Guiton found Chris Fields open for a 21-yard touchdown pass to end a 13-play, 91-yard drive. The Buckeyes kept the ball on the ground during the drive, throwing only two passes.

Jordan Hall clinched a 150-yard rushing game with 16 in the quarter, part of his 153-yard day through three quarters for Ohio State.

Buffalo will start the fourth quarter with the ball at the Buckeyes’ 39-yard line.

Third Quarter: Illinois 39, Southern Illinois 24

Kory Faulkner had a stand out quarter for Southern Illinois. He threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns, but Southern Illinois has closed the gap to 39-24.

The Salukis capped off an eight-yard drive when Faulkner found Rik Hicks open for a three-yard touchdown pass to make the score 25-14. The drive was set up at the Illinois 8-yard line when D.J. Cameron intercepted a Nathan Scheelhaase pass.

Illinois opened up the lead, 32-14, after Bailey turned a quarterback sneak into a two-yard touchdown run to end a seven-play, 88-yard drive. Josh Ferguson’s 32-yard run from the 33-yard line pushed the Fighting Illini into enemy territory.

The Salukis made the score 39-17 after Thomas Kinney kicked a 20-yard field goal to finish off an 87-yard drive. The drive also featured Faulkner’s 66-yard pass to MyCole Pruitt.

Southern Illinois capped a 75-yard drive when Faulkner and John Lantz combined for a 35-yard touchdown to make the score 39-24.Illinois’ Scheelhaase topped 400 yards passing for the game in the quarter, and has plenty of time to add to his 407 total yards through the air.

The Fighting Illini have the ball on the Salukis’ 35-yard line to begin the fourth quarter.

Giving up only 25 passing yards during the third quarter, Cincinnati now leads 28-7.

Cincinnati’s Ralph Abernathy ran for 22 yards and one touchdown in the quarter.

The Bearcats, who are on a 21-point run, opened up the lead, 21-7, after Abernathy ran for a three-yard touchdown to end a 12-play, 78-yard drive. The drive also featured Munchie Legaux’s 40-yard pass to Max Morrison.

Cincinnati made the score 28-7 when Adrian Witty intercepted Rob Henry’s pass and returned it for a touchdown.The Bearcats have the ball at the Boilermakers’ 32-yard line to begin the fourth quarter.

Third Quarter: Wisconsin 38, Massachusetts 0

With 21 points in the third quarter, Wisconsin now leads 38-0. Wisconsin threw for 161 yards and ran for 78 yards in the quarter.

The Badgers opened up the lead, 24-0, after marching down the field for a one-play, 65-yard drive that ended when Joel Stave threw a 65-yard touchdown pass to Jared Abbrederis.

Wisconsin made its lead 31-0 when James White ran 51 yards for a touchdown on the last play of a three-play, 65-yard drive.

The Badgers added to their advantage when Stave tossed a 57-yard touchdown to Abbrederis, the last of a four-play, 78-yard drive to give the Badgers the lead, 38-0.

Abbrederis has caught two passes for 122 yards on the day so far.Wisconsin’s White reached the 100-yard rushing mark for the game thanks to 54 in the quarter, and currently sits with 143 yards in all.The Badgers will start the fourth quarter with the ball at Massachusetts’ 32-yard line.

Jordan Hall ran for 52 yards and one touchdown for No. 2 Ohio State, which now leads 30-13.

Buffalo made the score 23-7 after Joe Licata threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Matt Weiser to finish off a 44-yard drive. The drive was set up at the Buckeyes’ 44-yard line when the Bulls recovered a fumble.

Ohio State added to its advantage when Hall pounded in a 37-yard touchdown run, the final play on a one-play, 37-yard drive to give Ohio State the lead, 30-13. The drive was set up at the Buffalo 37-yard line wiith Wilson’s big kickoff return.Ohio State will start the second half with the ball.

Second Quarter: Illinois 25, Southern Illinois 7

Illinois has taken the lead 25-7 thanks in part to 191 passing yards in the quarter and holding Southern Illinois to 14 yards on the ground.

The Fighting Illini are currently on a 22-point run.

Nathan Scheelhaase’s 53-yard touchdown pass to Josh Ferguson gave Illinois the lead 10-7 after a four-play, 64-yard drive.

The Fighting Illini opened up the lead, 17-7, after marching down the field for a two-play, 30-yard drive that ended when Donovonn Young pounded in a two-yard touchdown run. The drive was set up at the Southern Illinois 30-yard line when Illinois recovered a fumble.

The Fighting Illini expanded their lead to 25-7 thanks to an eight-play, 94-yard drive that ended when Scheelhaase and Jon Davis combined for an 11-yard touchdown. Illinois’ rushing attack finished with just zero carries during that series. The drive also featured Scheelhaase’s 55-yard pass. The Fighting Illini put two points on the board when Matt LaCosse reached the endzone.

Ryan Lankford has caught six passes for 115 yards on the day so far.

Scheelhaase clinched a 300-yard passing game with 191 in the quarter, part of his 340-yard day through two quarters for Illinois.

Southern Illinois will have possession to start the second half.

Picking up 72 yards in the ground game during the second quarter, Cincinnati now leads 14-7.

Cincinnati’s defense shut down Purdue, allowing only 25 yards of offense in the quarter.

The Bearcats struck first when Munchie Legaux scrambled for a 10-yard touchdown run, the final play of a 14-play, 78-yard drive.

The Boilermakers got even after Rob Henry kept it himself for a seven-yard touchdown run to end a two-play, 11-yard drive that tied the score at seven. The drive was set up at Cincinnati’s 11-yard line when Purdue recovered a fumble.

Legaux found Blake Annen open for a 15-yard touchdown pass to break the 7-7 standoff in favor of the Bearcats. The play capped a seven-play, 75-yard scoring drive. Legaux’s 32-yard run took Cincinnati from the 33 and across midfield to ignite the drive.

The Bearcats will start the second half with the ball.

Ohio State racked up 117 passing yards and 99 rushing yards in the first quarter and lead 23-0 over Buffalo.

The Buckeyes took the game’s first lead after Braxton Miller tossed a 47-yard touchdown to Devin Smith, capping off a four-play, 63-yard drive. Ohio State tacked on two points instead of one when Kenny Guiton ran in from two yards out.

The Buckeyes expanded their lead to 16-0 thanks to a six-play, 61-yard drive that ended when Miller threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Chris Fields. Ohio State’s rushing attack finished with just one carry during that series. The Buckeyes put two points on the board when Jordan Hall reached the endzone.

Ohio State added to its advantage when Hall ran 49 yards for a touchdown, the last of an eight-play, 92-yard drive to give OSU the lead, 23-0.

Illinois got on the scoreboard first in this contest with a seven-play, 68-yard drive that ended in a score when Taylor Zalewski kicked a 32-yard field goal. The drive also featured Nathan Scheelhaase’s 52-yard pass to Ryan Lankford.

Mika’il McCall has led the way for Southern Illinois, rushing for 16 yards and a touchdown and catching one pass for 15 yards as well.

McCall’s one-yard touchdown run gave the Salukis the lead 7-3 after a three-play, 42-yard drive. The drive also featured Kory Faulkner’s 39-yard pass. The drive was set up at the Fighting Illini’s 42-yard line when Southern Illinois returned a punt.
