The Wisconsin men’s hockey team will wear a special throwback uniform for the OfficeMax Hockey City Classic on Feb. 17 at Soldier Field in Chicago. The sweater is a reproduction of what the 1931-32 team wore, and it’s pretty slick. See a photo of the sweater in this post.
There are a few personal touches to the uniform, including the phrase “It’s a great day for hockey” on the inside of the collar. Also, hemmed into the bottom of each sweater is the date of the game, the teams participating and the Hockey City Classic’s logo.
Speaking of the event, it starts with Notre Dame-Miami and wraps up with Wisconsin-Minnesota at 4:30 p.m. ET on BTN/BTN2Go.
