Watch Indiana, Iowa 'Midnight Madness' events
Attention Iowa and Indiana basketball fans: Your school’s version of “Midnight Madness” can be seen live on the Big Ten Digital Network. Iowa’s “Black & Gold Blowout” is Friday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. ET and Indiana’s “Hoosier Hysteria” is Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. ET. Also, BTN.com will clip the best portions of each event just like we did for Michigan State, Minnesota and Purdue last week, and then post them the day after each event.
Penn State’s “Hoops Madness” is Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. ET, and it will also be available on the Big Ten Digital Network. Fans can sign up to watch any or all of these events by going to video.btn.com and clicking on the “Live Events” tab for the full schedule.
At Iowa, fans who arrive early can register to win men’s basketball season tickets, women’s basketball season tickets, tour of Carver-Hawkeye Arena, a Fran McCaffery autographed basketball, a Lisa Bluder autographed basketball, a chance to sit on team bench during a men’s or women’s basketball scrimmage, and a chance to attend to a closed-weekend practice for men’s or women’s basketball. Read more about it at Hawkeyesports.com.
At Indiana, first-year women’s coach Curt Miller addresses Hoosier Nation in Assembly Hall and fifth-year men’s coach Tom Crean brings in a squad which is ranked No. 1 by several organizations and is coming off a Sweet Sixteen appearance last year. Read more about it IUHoosiers.com.
On a recent episode of “Tailgate 48,” Indiana’s Cody Zeller showed off his long-range shooting. Watch the video here.
And last year around this time we posted the full Hoosiers scrimmage from Indiana’s event, and it proved to be a very popular clip:
At Penn State, events include music and highlight videos, contests as well as performances by the Pride of Lions Pep Band, Lionettes dance team and Penn State Cheerleaders. There will also be introductions and dance performances by both basketball teams. Read more about it at GoPSUsports.com.
