Earlier on our “Big Ten Football Pregame Show,” presented by Auto-Owners Insurance, our crew profiled Jack Hoffman, a young 7-year old boy from Atkinson, Neb., who is fighting brain cancer. Hoffman just so happens to have built a very special friendship with Nebraska running back Rex Burkhead. The two work together on “Team Jack,” as the young fan battles his disease. Rex Burkhead should be an inspiration to all of us on how to live our lives not just for ourself but for others. Jack sounds like a truely a wonderfull young man. Jack is the true hero in this story. To be so young, to have such in atttude in life when your own is not what it should be. Everyone who is a Husker fan in this state should be more importanly a Team Jack supporter. He is who I want my children to be like. You are in our prayers
