Basketball analyst and writer Patricia Babcock McGraw?s latest Gimme 5 audio segment  is a chat with Nebraska's Jordan Hooper. Each week this season we will post an audio interview with a Big Ten Conference women?s basketball player to hear their story. Jump down in this post to read and hear more.

Our analyst writes: Big Ten Conference games are coming up at the end of December and Jordan Hooper and the 9-1 Huskers are hoping to make a splash in their league debut. Hooper knows a thing or two about making a splash. As a freshman last year, the 6-foot-2 Hooper led Nebraska in scoring with 14.6 points per game. She ranked second in rebounding and also made the Big 12?s all-freshman team.

Hooper has picked up right where she left off. She leads Nebraska and is second in the Big Ten overall in scoring at 19.4 points per game. She also ranks second in the conference in rebounding at 8.3 rebounds per game. After scoring a career-high 32 points in a win over Northern Arizona and 22 points in a win over Creighton last week, Hooper was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday.

Listen in to latest edition of Gimme 5 to find out how Hooper compares the Big 12 and the Big 10. She'll also dish on what other sport she could be playing for Nebraska right now and why on Earth it took her 45 minutes to get from home to her high school each day? Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that where she lives, people don't just take their dogs for walks, they also take their sheep!
