Iowa Honors Military With Helmet Today

With Veterans Day next week, the Iowa football team will honor the military in Saturday’s game against Michigan at noon ET on ESPN. The helmet features Iowa’s tigerhawk logo on the right side, in red and white and blue, instead of the usual gold, and it will be all black on the left side (see the helmet) in honor of all branches of military who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Veterans Day is Friday, Nov. 11. Read the full release from HawkeyeSports.com.

Proud to be a Hawkeye! “Pure class” is absolutely right! Go Hawks!

That was a great win by Iowa. It’s a different team at home. You have to like the Hawkeyes’ chances in Iowa City this Saturday vs. Michigan State. The defense played better than I thought vs. Michigan. The winner of MSU-Iowa will be in the driver’s seat in the Legends Division. I can’t wait! I will be there.
