Michigan tackle Grant Newsome opened up about last season's life-threatening knee injury Tuesday in Rome.
Newsome shared the right knee injury, sustained vs. Wisconsin, was so serious that doctors told him he was "minutes" from losing the leg.
"I'm just really fortunate that the doctors were able to catch it," Newsome said at the end of the video below.
Newsome doesn't expect to play this season, but hopes to return in 2018.
