The 2017 AP All-America team was released Tuesday, and Big Ten Player of the Year Caleb Swanigan earned first-team honors.
The Purdue star is joined on the team by Kansas' Frank Mason, the lone unanimous selection, UCLA's Lonzo Ball, Villanova's Josh Hart and North Carolina's Justin Jackson.
Swanigan led the nation with 28 double-doubles and was the only player in Division I to average 18 points (18.5) and 12 rebounds (12.6) while shooting 53.4 percent, 43.1 percent on 3s.
Wisconsin standout Ethan Happ took him third-team honors, becoming just the sixth Badgers players to earn AP honors, to round out the Big Ten's honorees.
