Saquon Barkley was helped to the sideline by training staff in the third quarter of Penn State's Big Ten East-clinching victory over Michigan State on Saturday and didn't return. The star Penn State running back had a towel over his head while he sat on the training table.

Penn State coach James Franklin, who only confirms injuries if a player is out for the season, said he expects Barkley to practice and prepare as he would normally from the information he had at the end of the game.

With or without Barkley, the Nittany Lions are headed to their first Big Ten title game in Indianapolis. If the likely first-team All-Big Ten running back can't go, Penn State has the luxury of a very deep and extremely talented backfield. That said, Wisconsin's stout defense awaits, so Penn State would really benefit from Barkley's presence.
