Legendary Michigan State hockey coach Ron Mason passed away Monday at the age of 76.
Mason was the second-winningest coach in college hockey history, recording 924 career wins and a 635-270-69 mark in 23 seasons at MSU.
He led MSU to 17 CCHA regular-season and playoff titles and guided 23 teams to the NCAA Tournament.
Mason also served as MSU's Athletic Director from 2002-07.
Following the news of Mason's death, many former Michigan State athletes took to Twitter to share their condolences.
