Offensive Player of the Week: Akrum Wadley, Iowa (So., RB, Newark, N.J./Weequahic)

  • Recorded a career-best 204 rushing yards on 26 carries with four touchdowns in Iowa?s win over Northwestern
  • His four rushing touchdowns matched a single-game school record
  • It was only the seventh time in program history a Hawkeye rushed for four touchdowns in a single game
  • Earns the first Offensive Player of the Week award of his career

Defensive Player of the Week: Shilique Calhoun, Michigan State (Sr., DE, Middletown, N.J./Middletown North)

  • Recorded five tackles, including a career-best 3.5 tackles for loss, in Michigan State?s victory over Michigan
  • His tackles for loss totaled 11 yards, including a pair of sacks for a loss of six yards
  • Part of a Michigan State defense that forced the Wolverines to go three-and-out on six possessions
  • Earns his third career Defensive Player of the Week honor and second this season
  • Last Michigan State Defensive Player of the Week: Shilique Calhoun (Sept. 28, 2015)

Special Teams Player of the Week: Jalen Watts-Jackson, Michigan State (So., DB, Dearborn, Mich./Orchard Lake St. Mary?s)

  • Scored his first career touchdown on a 38-yard fumble return as time expired to give Michigan State a 27-23 win at Michigan
  • Returned a mishandled snap on a punt attempt with 10 seconds left for the deciding points
  • Produced the Spartans? first special teams touchdown of the season
  • Claims his first career Special Teams Player of the Week honor

Freshman of the Week: T.J. Edwards, Wisconsin (LB, Lake Villa, Ill./Lakes Community)

  • Registered a career-high 16 tackles and forced a fumble in Wisconsin?s defeat of Purdue
  • Recorded seven solo tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss
  • Part of a Wisconsin defense that held the Boilermakers to a season-low 191 total yards
  • Wins his first career weekly award
