Offensive Player of the Week: Jordan Canzeri, Iowa, Sr., RB, Troy, N.Y./Troy

  • Set a school record with 43 carries for a career-best 256 rushing yards in Iowa?s victory over Illinois.
  • His 256-yard performance ranks third in school history and included a 75-yard touchdown run
  • Added two catches for 15 yards and one touchdown
  • Earns the first Offensive Player of the Week award of his career
  • Last Iowa Offensive Player of the Week: C.J. Beathard (Sept. 14, 2015)

Defensive Player of the Week: Jourdan Lewis, Michigan, Jr., CB, Detroit, Mich./Cass Technical

  • Recorded four tackles, including one tackle for loss, and returned an interception for a touchdown in Michigan?s shutout victory over Northwestern
  • Scored on a 37-yard interception return in the second quarter
  • Part of a Michigan defense that has posted three straight shutouts for the first time since 1980
  • Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week honor

Special Teams Player of the Week: Jehu Chesson, Michigan, Sr., WR, Saint Louis, Mo./Ladue Horton Watkins

  • Returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown in Michigan?s victory over Northwestern
  • Recorded the fourth-longest kickoff return touchdown in school history
  • Scored the first special teams touchdown of his career and fourth overall
  • Claims his first career Special Teams Player of the Week honor

Co-Freshmen of the Week: Jabrill Peppers, Michigan, S, East Orange, N.J./Paramus Catholic

  • Registered five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss as Michigan shut out Northwestern
  • Added a game-high three pass breakups as the Wolverines held the Wildcats to 130 passing yards
  • Part of a Michigan defense that leads the Big Ten and ranks second nationally in passing yards allowed, giving up just 115.5 yards per game through the air
  • Wins his first career weekly award

Shannon Brooks, Minnesota, RB, Atlanta, Ga./Pickens

  • Averaged 10.4 yards per attempt to compile 176 yards on 17 carries in Minnesota?s victory at Purdue
  • Reached the end zone from 71 yards out in the third quarter, giving the Gophers a 17-6 lead
  • Notched the most rushing yards by a Minnesota freshman running back since 2003
  • Claims his first career weekly award
